How to “Use” NVACP to Grow Your Practice and Get Referrals

Joining and becoming involved in NVACP helps you to establish and develop your clinical practice in many ways. There are diverse opportunities to increase your exposure, network and develop active professional relationships.

1. As a member, you are eligible for a free listing in our public, searchable, find-a-psychologist website – www.NoVaPsychologists.org.
2. Our free Mentoring Service offers suggestions for developing and improving your practice and operations.
3. Joining our free, members-only, internet NVACP Message Board lets you introduce yourself to fellow members, lets you inform peers about your specialties and services, enables you to pick up referrals offered on the Message Board, offers numerous helpful suggestions for developing your practice and increases your exposure when you participate in member dialogs on issues.
4. Attending the NVACP-sponsored Continuing Education luncheon programs is a rewarding way to meet and greet colleagues and exchange cards, while earning CE credits and enjoying sumptuous meals in a pleasant setting. Why not impress your colleagues and present a quality CE program!
5. Another free benefit: You can announce your practice, an office relocation or a new service in the quarterly print and online NVACP Newsletter Journal. Better yet, you can write an article to increase your exposure.
6. Volunteering for a NSVCP committee or a project is another excellent way for colleagues to become familiar with you and to further your professional relationships.
